Local chapter of IAMCP established

By Global Research Partners
Johannesburg, 13 Jun 2005

The local chapter of the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners has been formed. The South African chapter was established under the presidency of Warren Machanik and held its inaugural meeting, at which some 180 delegates were present.

"The IAMCP South Africa gives people and companies who rely on Microsoft offerings and technologies, the opportunity to grow their business through partnering, events and recognised feedback to Microsoft," says Warren Machanik, IAMCP SA President. "Through the IAMCP, members are represented as a single voice within the Microsoft community, and are able to interface with like-minded people and companies to secure larger portions of their clients` spend."

The International Association of Microsoft Certified partners (IAMCP) was formed in 1994 to provide partners with a greater voice into Microsoft and to facilitate mutual growth and business development.

Chapters are organised and led by member volunteers in cities around the world. Chapter membership fosters personal relationships that lead to mutual business opportunities. It also provides opportunities for those member companies without direct Microsoft Partner Account Management to work more closely with the local Microsoft office.

"The IAMCP SA is regarded as the joint voice of the Microsoft partner community and as the IAMCP SA grows we believe it will become a strong voice to influence Microsoft partner and marketing programmes," says Bradley Hopkinson, small and mid-market solutions and partner director for Microsoft South Africa. "The IAMCP has Microsoft`s unequivocal support and is demonstrated by our membership in the local chapter."

The IAMCP is open to registered, certified and gold Microsoft partners. To join the chapter, please visit www.iamcp.org.za or contact Justine Morgan jmm@asyst.co.za.
