Local Web site for Palm users goes live

Palm Inc, a leading international provider of handheld computers, announced today that a local Web site developed in the interest of the South African Palm handheld user has gone live.

The website (http://www.palmusers.co.za) will allow South African Palm handheld owners to easily download software applications and handheld tips, access information about local suppliers, enter Lucky Draw competitions and interact in a Community chat room. In addition, the Web site has a Press Room that will feature articles about Palm and developments in the international mobile and handheld community.

Says Sean Heyes, country manager for Palm South Africa: "We have a very loyal and proficient group of Palm users in SA. Through the Web site, we hope to provide them with Palm information, tips and applications that will make their handhelds even more productive. All local Palm handheld users are invited to register on the Web site at no cost to enjoy the benefits."
