Woodmead-based Logic Group has sold 4most Systems' South African and Botswana operations to Marius Fabian, a well-known Gauteng information services industry entrepreneur, for an undisclosed sum.
Logic Group managing director Carlien Thomson said following the sale, the company's sole focus will be on its subsidiary company Lorge, which operates with Sage ERP Accpac, Sage ERP X3, Sage CRM and QlikView business and technology solutions, offering companies well-proven accounting and business software solutions.
“Lorge has always been the larger part of Logic Group's business and has a 25-year track record founded on sound long-term relationships and a well-established, broad customer base. In essence we are returning to our long-established roots with full focus on our core business,” said Thomson.
“Sage ERP and CRM products enable businesses of all sizes to control costs and extract critical information to ensure ongoing success. With Lorge we are strategically placed to add value and ensure companies derive the maximum benefits from Sage ERP and CRM software with appropriate, well-supported solutions.”
Lorge managing director Derek Porter said the company has built up powerful support capabilities, with a large team of highly qualified and technically skilled staff focused on Sage ERP Accpac, Sage ERP X3 and Sage CRM accounting and business software products and solutions, complemented by Qlikview business intelligence.
“Lorge is now strongly positioned to offer highly-flexible Sage ERP Accpac, Sage ERP X3, Sage CRM, and QlikView solutions to companies with up to 1 000 users. Sage ERP Accpac and Sage ERP X3 will be managed by Lorge services directors Jurgens Snyman and Martin van Blerk respectively,” said Porter.
He added that the business is rapidly expanding into Africa, continental Europe and the Middle East.
Eugene Olivier remains a shareholder in 4most, which is now based in Centurion, and is 4most's Business Development Director.
