Logica secures BAE HR services contract
security firm BAE Systems has introduced a payroll and HR management system for its UK employees, Employee Benefits reports.
The system, provided by technology service organisations Logica and Oracle, is aimed at supporting BAE Systems' workplace priorities, including employee engagement and performance, efficiency and organisational effectiveness.
According to Computing.co.uk, Logica will design, build and support a new HR service based on its Dynamic HRO framework in addition to Oracle's PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and Oracle E-Business Suite Payroll.
Haydn Clulow, HR director at BAE, said: "We recognise that our business needs both agility and flexibility if it is to respond successfully to our changing market landscape."
The deal comes after Logica cut 1 300 jobs in December, warning of missed profit forecasts and responding to delayed spending from clients, Information Age notes.
With today's BAE deal, Logica claims to be one of the "fastest growing providers of next-generation HR services in the market", building on a similar HRO contract win with international retailer Ahold six months ago.
