Logical, a worldwide integrator of e-business solutions and services, is embracing customer relationship management (CRM) and recognising its importance in total solutions following its appointment as a SalesLogix Platinum partner.
In addition to becoming one of the first SalesLogix Platinum partners in South Africa, Logical also boasts three certified sales people and three enterprise certified technicians.
Karl Iuel, line of business manager for CRM at Logical, says that, as an integration company, Logical provides entire solutions to customers and often CRM forms part of the overall environment.
"To offer the CRM element, we needed a reliable, high quality product and after much evaluation, we chose SalesLogix particularly because it has an established channel. This was an important consideration for Logical because we don`t want to be in a situation where we have to go up against the vendor when competing for market share.
"In addition, SalesLogix`s ease of use was significant as was its openness in terms of integration with other products and the ease of development within it, " Iuel explains.
Stuart Russell, regional manager southern Africa for SalesLogix, says that a recent Gartner report found that four out of five CRM projects fail, primarily because the products weren`t easy to use.
"Users need to feel comfortable with the functionality," he adds, "and SalesLogix is known for its easy interface. In addition, the product`s implementation time is very quick so the TCO is much less."
Russell emphasises that Logical was chosen as a Platinum partner because it had a dedicated and focused resource in place who could deliver on the numbers required.
"Logical now has a bigger commitment from us but it has, in turn, an even bigger obligation to perform at optimum levels."
SalesLogix comes with a top pedigree, having been placed as one of only two companies in Gartner Group`s Magic leadership quadrant. According to Russell, this is an industry accolade and proves the quality of the product.
Although Logical`s appointment as a Platinum partner was only confirmed this month, the company is already working on closing some significant business, all of which forms part of bigger solutions integrating front and back office environments, according to Iuel.
