Democratically voted by Logical`s clients and Great Plains Africa staff, Logical, the solutions and services arm of JSE-listed Datatec, received three awards at the recent Great Plains "Stampede to Africa" conference.
"These awards are an acknowledgement of our achievement in providing the best business solutions," says Graham van Zijl, e-business solutions director at Logical, who walked away with three of the 10 plaques.
Logical was recognised for its excellence with the `Teamwork Award`. It also received `Customer site of the Year` for the best Dynamics site in the country at Hofmeyr and an award for `Technical Innovator of the year` - by making the best use of modern technologies.
Logical was named Great Plains Africa`s first Signature Partner. Part of a VAR incentive scheme implemented by Great Plains, Signature Partner status is awarded to VARs who are dedicated solely to Great Plains Africa. Requirements include having a minimum sales volume of either 10 new customers in a year or R1 million in licence revenue.
The annual `Stampede to Africa` conference is held to inform channel partners of new products and services made available by Great Plains, as well as discuss trends and technology breakthroughs, drawn from Great Plains` international experience and presence. The conference is used as an opportunity to honour and recognise Great Plains Africa`s channel partners.
Other awards were given out for individuals in the channel, such as the `Leadership Award` and the `Trainee of the Year` award. Included in the commendations were humorous awards with fun prizes for `Joker of the Channel` and `Most Persistent Consultant`.
