Lombardi releases BPM update
Business process management provider Lombardi has released its Blueprint Spring 08 update, says IT Week.
The process documentation tool has been updated with additional functions to make it simpler to use, said the firm.
Jim Rudden, Lombardi global marketing VP, said "When we initially launched the first Blueprint in February 2007 we realised the need for business people to engage more in the conversations surrounding processes, such as what are the key activities, who owns them and the key problems."
Metastorm releases ProVision update
Metastorm, a provider of business process management, business process analysis, and enterprise architecture software for aligning strategy with execution, released Version 6.1 of the Metastorm ProVision enterprise modeling software suite, states ThomasNet Industrial News Room.
This includes an update to its collaborative Knowledge Exchange Web-based repository application.
Metastorm ProVision 6.1 provides enhancements that support Metastorm's objective of aligning strategy, analysis and execution on a single software platform, while at the same time offering deep capabilities within each distinct discipline.
GE Fanuc releases BPM Product
According to Managing Automation, automation vendor GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms this week unveiled the first element of its evolving service-oriented architecture for production processes.
The Proficy Workflow product is best described as an industrialised version of business process management.
The Workflow system, which defines and digitises logical execution steps in a process to trigger a workflow, can accommodate both manual and automatic interactions.
