Major SAP Business One ERP and financial software solutions providers to the South African SME market, Lorge Business One and Britton Solutions, have merged with effect from 1 January 2009.
Britton Solutions is a member of the Britton Group, focused on providing solutions to the diverse business challenges facing small-to-medium size companies, and Lorge Business One is a company in the longstanding Lorge Group, which supplies and implements branded business and technology solutions to SMEs. Over the past five years, both have become well-established and successful national SAP Business One partners.
Directors Eugene Olivier of Lorge Business One and Cornel Schoeman of Britton Solutions, pointed to growth, the creation of the most comprehensive pool of SAP Business One system application, implementation and solution support know-how in South Africa, and the extended scope of value-added services and support to customers as the major benefits of the merger.
"We are both among the longest-established SAP Business One value-added resellers and software system and solution implementers, and Britton Solutions was once again awarded the SAP Business One Partner Excellence Award last year," said Olivier.
"For Lorge Business One, the merger will greatly assist the extension of service offerings to Pretoria and Cape Town, where Britton Solutions has offices, and our customers generally will benefit from the broader range of knowledge, experience and expertise available."
Schoeman said nothing would change for the respective client bases of the two companies. "The only difference will be the name that is placed on the company documentation. I`m confident clients will soon begin to realise additional benefits from our pooled resources and skills, and last, but not least, an extended range of top-class value-added services."
Both consider the end result a "perfect fit" as both companies have always considered the other to be "most respected competition" and have adopted similar approaches to business with a focus on flexibility, consultation and the development of tailor-made technological business solutions geared to ensuring long-term competitiveness for customers.
