Softline Lorge, the national and international ACCPAC accounting software reseller and solutions provider in the Softline stable, has upgraded the back office financial system of the Monte Casino entertainment and casino complex at Fourways.
A solution to migrate Monte Casino`s ACCPAC Plus DOS-based accounting system to ACCPAC for Windows V5 was implemented. The solution includes a building management module that caters for the repairs, maintenance and vendor rentals aspects of the casino`s business.
Individual cost centres were established for various elements of the complex, including the Bird Park, the La Toscana functions facility, the cr`eche, and components of the casino such as the Salon Prive, the table gambling areas and the slot machine areas.
"Arising out of the project are a number of major benefits for Monte Casino," said Softline Lorge executive committee member Alexander Lamprecht. "These include the standardisation of accounts for easy consolidation, improved security in the form of an automatic full audit trail for each transaction entered into the system, standardisation of all reports and improvements in back office productivity."
Softline Lorge also integrated the Monte Casino payroll system into ACCPAC and implemented an electronic funds transfer system. Lamprecht added that Lorge has extensive experience of the accounting software and systems needs of businesses in the casino and entertainment industry, having also implemented solutions for various other national casino complexes and international hotels.
