Emerging Consumer Markets (ECM) BP, which provides safe, clean and affordable energy solutions to emerging consumers in South Africa, has contracted branded business and technology solutions provider Lorge to supply and implement a SAP Business One software solution in its South African business.
The SAP solution will offer fully integrated financial, stock, warehousing and distribution in real-time, according to Alex Viviers, Corporate Sales Manager of Lorge`s SAP Business One business unit.
"The CRM functionality will also integrate fully to allow ECM to track business partners, customers and leads through the system. This is particularly valuable because there is such high demand for their value-added solutions."
The materials resource planning functionality of the SAP solution will ensure that stock requirements are constantly met, enabling the distribution network to always meet customer demands. Lorge will also provide ECM with full training and support services and the solution is expected to go live at the beginning of June.
"One of the features of the system is its ability to provide quick reports through `drag and relate` functionality that provides instant information on customers, stock and sales," said Viviers. "Drill down navigation allows invoices to be opened and monitored through every stage from order placement to delivery and payment."
The SAP solution being provided by Lorge will improve ECM`s efficiency, better manage its customer base and allow ECM to integrate global expertise with local knowledge to provide progressive, socially-enhancing and economically viable solutions to basic needs.
Lorge is the preferred supplier and implementer of branded business and technology solutions. A deep pool of experience and skills accumulated over 22 years ideally places Lorge to provide independent and consistent expertise in the implementation, support, maintenance and application modifications of business and accounting software systems.
