Major supplier and implementer of Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) business solutions Lorge has rolled out Sage 300 ERP accounting solutions for the international engineering and construction company, Kentz Group, leading to improved worldwide standardisation of Kentz's accounting and financial reporting systems.
Following an original contract to install Sage 300 ERP at Kentz's South African headquarters in Midrand, Lorge has since completed Sage 300 ERP software centres for Kentz in Australia and Russia, and is now extending implementations in the Middle East, as well as consolidating all services into the Kentz data centre in Ireland.
Ana De Sousa, managing consultant at Lorge, says currency, accounts payable, invoices and credit notes are transacted within a secure interface. "The solution enables Kentz, which has operations in over 30 countries, to pay invoices in Sage 300 ERP, and journals are updated every hour or overnight, depending on requirements."
Project costs will be processed within a financial system for monitoring and auditing. Invoices were previously captured manually, but are now automated into Sage 300 ERP, ensuring that the correct criteria are always applied.
"The solution has been rolled out in South Africa, which is the test base for the Kentz Group, and the Middle East countries are due to go live during 2013," said De Sousa. "The multi-currency functionality will streamline the financials and consolidate all transactions into a single currency for ease of administration and accounting."
The development of the interface by Lorge provides a solution for single point of data entry for transactional processing in both Sage ERP 300 and the Kentz in-house developed project costing system.
