Faculty Training Institute, a leading business analysis and project management trainer, proudly welcomes Project Management Professional (PMP) Lorraine Nelson to its project management lecturing team in Cape Town.
Nelson has over 30 years' experience in the software development space, starting her career as a developer. She later moved onto project management and was responsible for application development projects for clients in telecommunications, public sector and insurance industries.
"We're delighted to welcome Lorraine to our team," says Carol Mould, FTI's PM Portfolio Manager. "Lorraine has a wealth of industry knowledge and is well known in the business community. Her passion for quality education and developing the skills of aspirant project managers aligns with FTI's philosophy of continuous learning and growth.
"Lorraine's appointment as a project management lecturer supports FTI's next phase of expansion in which it seeks to substantially grow FTI's project management portfolio, broaden its reach and grow and develop new markets," says Mould.
FTI draws its experienced and knowledgeable lecturing and consulting staff from both academic and corporate environments and only recruits people who have both a broad theoretical knowledge as well as being highly experienced in practice.
Nelson, who is an active member of the Project Management South Africa (PMSA), previously served on its committee and is an FTI alumnus. She completed the FTI Diploma in Project Management in 1997. In 2005, Nelson obtained her PMP certification. "I am thrilled to be able to develop the skills of emerging project managers. There is such dynamic, young talent in the marketplace. With good training, we can hone and develop the skills of the next generation of project managers," says Nelson.
