IBM has released Lotus Notes and Domino 7, an upgrade to its flagship platform, the company says.
The solution includes new collaboration features and tools that can help improve productivity for IT administrators and corporate application developers, says Oscar Rozario, IBM brand manager for Lotus, Portal and Workplace.
"With version 7, IBM has created a vastly improved collaboration platform designed to meet the evolving and expanding needs of knowledge workers," he says.
This is a particularly significant factor in the local market, because the focus on lower cost of ownership protects customers` investments, he adds.
"End-user productivity is a driving factor in companies` use of collaboration software and with the new Lotus, they will benefit from more than 100 new features that will allow them to manage an increasing volume of information and work more efficiently," says Zoaib Hoosen, the company`s group executive for southern and central Africa.
