Lotus Development has announced products and services that streamline the migration path to Domino for customers with advanced collaboration and messaging needs.
This offering in Lotus` Super.Move migration programme is targeted at customers building advanced collaborative solutions that need the reliability and scalability of Domino, but don`t want to spend valuable resources implementing a complex migration package. Super.Move Acceleration Packs for Microsoft Exchange build on migration capabilities already found in Domino Release 5 (R5) and provide organisations with the solution they need to seamlessly migrate from Exchange to Notes and Domino R5 without interruption to their daily business functions. The Acceleration Packs for Microsoft Exchange include support and training offered from Lotus Business Partners and Lotus Professional Services (LPS) to ease customer migration to one of the industry`s leading messaging and collaboration solutions.
"One of the major benefits here is that migrating to Notes and Domino allows companies to leverage their current Microsoft infrastructure as opposed to undergoing a major transition with the Microsoft 2000 family of products," says Lesego Tlhabanelo, marketing communications manager at Lotus Development SA.
"Super.Move contains what a company needs - products, services and support - to cost-effectively implement the advanced collaborative capabilities of Notes and Domino without overhauling their whole system."
Lotus has developed a set of migration tools and services to fit the needs of virtually any Microsoft shop. Available in three versions, Super.Move Acceleration Packs for Microsoft Exchange help customers migrate from Outlook 97, 98 and 2000 clients, including both mail and calendar data.
Domino also allows customers to choose from a variety of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (Intel, Alpha), IBM AIX 4.3.1, HP-UX(TM) 11.0, Sun Solaris 2.6 (SPARC and Intel), IBM OS/2 Warp Server 4, IBM AS/400 V4R2 or later, IBM S/390 V2R6 or later and Linux.
