L&T Infotech, a global provider of information technology services and solutions and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the USD14.3 billion Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has been selected in the Leader category of 'The 2014 Global Outsourcing 100 list' released by International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), a global, standard-setting organisation and advocate for the outsourcing profession. L&T Infotech is ranked among the first 30 and scores high on the executive leadership and customer reference parameters of IAOP.
The Global Outsourcing 100 and its sub-lists are essential references for companies seeking new and expanded relationships with the best companies in the industry. The lists include companies from around the world that provide the full spectrum of outsourcing services - not just information technology and business process outsourcing, but also facility services.
"At a time when there is a growing need to outsource, The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors lists have become invaluable reference tools to help companies research service providers," said Debi Hamill, IAOP CEO. "The companies named on these lists and sub lists have demonstrated their expertise following a rigorous, independently judged process and represent the top in the industry."
L&T Infotech has been recognised amongst the top five companies in Africa as well as in the global Oil & Natural Gas segment. It has been also recognised in the 'Best 20 Leaders' category of segments like Financial services, Technology services, Industry-specific services, Information/Communication Services, Customer Relationship management services and in two geographies - the US and western Europe.
These rankings are based on applications received and evaluated by an independent judging panel organised by IAOP. The 2014 panel is led by IAOP chief advisor of thought leadership, Jagdish Dalal, COP and President of JDalal Associates.
"Each year the competition to be named to The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors lists continues to reach higher levels," said Dalal, Chairman of the judges' panel. "Given the strong competition, getting named to these lists is a great recognition and these companies should be proud of achieving excellence in the field."
