Lufthansa Cargo looks to CA

CBR reveals.

The firm said it is implementing CA Clarity Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) to more quickly adapt to a changing business environment.

According to Computing.co.uk, Lufthansa Cargo said it was looking to streamline workflows and therefore needed a new solution.

It said the solution had to balance demand with capacity, capture costs and project transactions and ensure that strategic investments are directly related to corporate targets.

Wolfram Martin, head of controlling cross functions at Lufthansa Cargo, said the CA system was chosen based on its "functionality, its high-quality configuration options, and its flexibility", PC Advisor notes.

The airline group's IT services arm, Lufthansa Systems, opened a major centre in Welwyn, Hertfordshire, to serve the travel industry. The centre is applications for clients including Thomas Cook and airline BMI, and acts as a mutual backup site with Lufthansa's facility in Frankfurt.
