Mimecast, the leading provider of online unified e-mail management (UEM) solutions and services, today announced that Magix Integration has become a Mimecast business partner.
"Initially we became a Mimecast client," commented Amir Lubashevsky, executive director, Magix Integration, "since e-mail is a key component of the way we conduct our business. Within a few days of going live with the Mimecast service and following the first of our many power outages, we had more than reaped our 'return on investment' with this solution."
"As our key business at Magix is within the governance and risk management space, we were already assessing an e-mail management scenario prior to our adoption of Mimecast for our own business. Thus, it was a natural step for us to become a Mimecast business partner since this solution was complementary to many of the activities with which we are already involved," continued Lubashevsky. "In addition, we have already been instrumental in implementing the Mimecast UEM to several of our clients."
"Since e-mail has become the lifeblood of many organisations and e-mail continuity is fundamental for the continued success of any business, having a business partner such as Magix that understands and already operates within the 'governance' space is an ideal formula for a successful business partnership," concluded Mimecast SA MD Garth Wittles. "We are delighted that this relationship has already started to bear fruit and look forward to a long and mutually successful relationship with them."

Magix Integration
Magix Integration (Pty) Ltd (Magix) was formed in April 2003 when the current shareholders of the company purchased Magic SA as a going concern from the JSE-listed IT company MGX. Shortly after the management buyout, a decision was taken to rename the company Magix Integration because of the growing number of niche solutions and services that the company had added to its offerings. Magic SA (now Magix) had been a successful IT company for 13 years and remains the exclusive distributor in Sub-Saharan Africa for the Israeli hi-tech company, Magic Software Enterprises Ltd It specialises in integration solutions and rapid application development of bespoke software. With hindsight, this buyout was well-timed and fortuitous, as it was one of a handful of successful entities within MGX that managed to 'escape' from the looming demise of that organisation and a company that has continued to flourish as an independent entity. Magix Integration (Pty) Ltd together with Intellinx Africa (Pty) Ltd are wholly owned subsidiaries of Wavelengths 202 (Pty) Ltd and are the main trading companies of the Magix group. Wavelengths is privately owned by Amir Lubashevsky, Tzvi Appel, Hedley Hurwitz and Chris Hills in equal shares.
Magix's client base includes both public and private sector companies such as Absa, Clover, Department of Correctional Services, Department of Home Affairs, Discovery, MultiChoice and Nedcor.
