Magix Integration has acquired a 50% equity stake in Appvantage Solutions, a SAP Business One solutions provider. The deal is effective as of 1 November 2006 and sees both companies strengthening their collective SAP Business One offerings under the Appvantage brand.
Appvantage will continue trading under its own name, bolstered by the addition of expert resources from Magix. The current MD, Adele Le Roux, will continue to lead the company.
Le Roux explains that Appvantage specialises in assisting the SAP Business One solutions and service provider channel, providing a high level of technical competence and expertise not readily available in South Africa.
"We deliver software solutions of a high quality, quickly," she explains, "allowing SAP Business One users to rapidly extract value from their software."
Amir Lubashevsky, director of Magix Integration, says his company has a long history of providing customers with assistance in integrating their SAP Business One applications with third-party solutions. "Magix is the local representative of iBOLT, one of the most versatile application integration frameworks available."
Combining the integration skills already held by Magix with the development and implementation expertise in Appvantage delivers a strong SAP Business One competency. This combined expertise is now being offered to a variety of SAP Business One service providers and other channel partners needing assistance with an installation or enhancement project.
Le Roux adds that Appvantage will not compete with the SAP Business One channel by selling licences, but will rather act in a supporting role. "Should SAP channel partners need additional skills to strengthen their Business One offering to customers, Appvantage will make its experience and skills in the software development kit (SDK) and iBOLT available when needed."
"SAP Business One is a rapidly growing solution with more mid-market companies adopting it as a standard across multiple industries," says Lubashevsky. "To meet the needs of this growing population of users, there is an increasing demand for partners with the proven enhancement, integration and development skills, as well as the credentials Appvantage has gained over the years."
Appvantage is a going concern with an outstanding reputation and an excellent growth path in the SAP Business One services market. The addition of a strong partner in Magix and its skilled integration team is sure to help in firmly establishing the company as the premier SAP Business One specialist in South Africa.
