Magix Security has announced the availability of Safend's Data Protection Suite V3.4.5 in South Africa.
Safend Data Protection Suite provides complete endpoint data protection in a single software product, with a single management server and a single lightweight agent. It includes several product components, which are activated by associating an appropriate policy with the user/machine, assuming the component is licensed.

Selected new features for Safend Data Protection Suite include:
* Automatically Mount Encrypted Volume for Encrypted CD\DVD - Safend Data Protection agent is now mounting automatically the encrypted volume of the CD\DVDs that were encrypted with Safend Agent.
* Custom Metadata Inspection - Safend Inspector can now inspect custom Metadata added by an application or manually by the end-user to office files. The feature is used for integration with various documents management systems.
* E-mail Labelling - Safend Inspector can now add automatic text to an e-mail subject line according to its classification. This feature allows integration with e-mail encryption products that can then encrypt sensitive e-mails only.
* Lotus Notes Native Inspection - Lotus Notes inspection is now part of the E-mail Channel in Safend Inspector and can be configured using all the advanced settings of this channel, including subject, recipient and body data.
* Safend Data Protection Suite, Categories and Built-in Groups Updates - “All files” and “All data” built-in data rules have been added to Safend Data Control and Classification.
* There is a new port control device category, “Android Devices”.
* There is a new Safend Inspector built-in policy, Social Network Media.
* Dropbox software has been added to Safend Inspector Application Data Control
* Multiple Forest Authentication - Safend Encryptor can now authenticate with multiple forest infrastructures.
* Additional Anti-virus Support - Safend Protector, the Removable Media Anti-virus add-on, can now work with Kaspersky and F-Secure AV.
* Additional Operating System Support - Safend Data Protection Agent is now supported on Mac OS/X Lion (32-bit\64-bit) and Snow Leopard (64-bit) in addition to current Snow Leopard\Leopard 32-bit support.
* Expanded Localisation Support - Safend Data Protection Suite version 3.4.5 can now be installed in German and Japanese on both the agent and server side, and in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian on the agent side.
* Safend Diagnostics Tool - Safend Data Protection Agent is now installed with a built-in diagnostics tool helping to shorten the support cycle.
