What are your plans this festive season? Depending on who you are, your answers will vary but will probably be similar to some of the following:
Going on a trip to the coast or the Kruger or some other tourist destination. Others will simply be spending time at home with good friends or loved ones.
Should you fall into one of the above categories, you are in a fortunate position. As we rapidly approach another year end, let those of us blessed with options and possibilities not forget those who do not enjoy the same privileges as we may.
This year, we turn our thoughts to the elderly, the people responsible for the upbringing of our generation, and possibly the one before that, whether directly or indirectly. Many elderly in our country are left in long-term care facilities for various reasons, whether through health, age or a combination of the two. Sadly, these people are often neglected or forgotten over the festive season.
Each year, thanks to our valued clients, employees and partners, EnterpriseWorx embarks on a journey to help an organisation that supports people who are at a disadvantage. This year we are partnering with Fulami, a registered NPO, assisting needy elderly people in the Gauteng area.
Fulami relies solely on donations and contributions from private and corporate donors. Through the Fulami sponsorship programmes, donations make a tangible and life-saving difference in the lives of many retired persons.

What will EnterpriseWorx do?
We will sum up all donations received before close of business on the 11th of December 2015 and multiply this number by two and donate this, as well as all your contributions to the charity. If you wish to receive Proof of Payment of our final donation to the cause please state thus on your e-mail to us with your proof of payment and we will gladly do so.
How will your gift make a difference?
Your contribution will allow Fulami to purchase snacks and a small gift for several elderly people this Christmas.
It will also be used to purchase items for personal hygiene as well as contribute to general maintenance needs, like gardening equipment, to make their environment a happier place.

How else can you make a difference?
Fulami's Volunteering Programme is all about helping seniors. There is a number of community projects on the go and they are always looking for volunteers for the following activities:
* Assisting the elderly with reading and writing;
* Providing companionship;
* Encouraging exercise by accompanying the elderly on walks;
* Shopping or assisting with errands;
* Assisting with personal hygiene, e.g. hair care; and
* Assisting with fundraising or social events.
