Making networks better

Networks Unlimited launches new corporate image
Johannesburg, 22 Apr 2002

One of SA`s well-established distributors in the network management field, Networks Unlimited, has taken a bold step in positioning the company as a major role-player in the network management arena.

Keeping up in an ever-changing IT world is not always easy. Being the best in your field means knowing what is available and offering the best solution to your clients, but also to be seen as a leader means recognition of your company and what you stand for.

After eight years operating mainly behind the scenes, Networks Unlimited is launching its new corporate logo with the aim of being associated with the well-known products it distributes and resells in SA. Currently, most people are familiar with brand names such as MIMEsweeper, NetOp, SurfControl and Sophos, but know very little about this hugely successful company.

A very noticeable series of four advertisements have been developed by the company`s advertising agency, Bevan Advertising, choosing something rarely seen in the publications normally chosen to advertise in; namely, a syringe, a scorpion, a spider and a snake. The executions are loud, simple, uncluttered and easy to read. In each of the four ads, the headline was carefully chosen to highlight one of the aspects of the services Networks Unlimited offers. Networks Unlimited is making a loud statement with this investment: It is here to stay. It is here to continue to provide world-class brands and service.

From inception, Networks Unlimited has focused on consulting to IT and network managers promoting world-leading brands to improve network integrity and efficiency. It`s no wonder that its reputation grew into that of a "best of breed" software provider. Key product areas within Networks Unlimited are anti-virus, help desk, Internet and e-mail security, inventory and audit, LAN analysis, PC-based training tools, remote control, SNMP management and firewall.

Operating from Cape Town as the head office, and Gauteng, Networks Unlimited ensures prompt service to clients and partners anywhere in SA.

Networks Unlimited was formed in 1994 by two Capetonians, Craig Copeland and Wayne Bird, who are the sole directors of the company and its principal shareholders. Having met in UK during a period of work and travel, they both decided that the concept of network management and trouble-shooting software would work well in SA. They returned home and started Networks Unlimited, a twin operation of the UK company where they met.

"We strive to ensure that our customers are totally satisfied with the service that they receive - from the very first contact with the company to after-sales support and back-up," says Copeland. And with Bird`s expertise in software development, it is no surprise that Bird is very serious about what they do: "Our solutions are focused on providing tangible results to our clients through network management, productivity and security solutions."

Networks Unlimited is committed to customer satisfaction support without compromise and strengthened business relationships.
