The country`s leading warehouse club, Makro, has announced the expansion of its "EasyBuys" telesales and Internet retail offering with 5 000 additional best selling products. Makro contracted multi-channel commerce company Digital Mall, to conceptualise, develop and implement the project.
"Makro is focused on finding new ways to continually improve customer service including more convenient alternative shopping channels," explained Chris Nezar, marketing director of Makro.
"The site projects Digital Mall as a leader in new technological applications, being the first Internet retail development company to integrate SAP within an e-business retail solution at Makro. This enables the full product range available through EasyBuys to be updated automatically with pricing and stock figures on a daily basis from SAP to the e-business application. The call centre operation which complements the online services offer what we believe is the ultimate in complete client services combining the Internet with the telephone," explained Digital Mall MD Yaron Assabi.
"In addition to running Makro`s "EasyBuys" telesales operation and Internet store, Digital Mall is also responsible for Makro`s nationwide customer care services. Makro is our first retailer to have all their services centralised, hosted at Digital Mall.
"This synergised approach is one we have been advocating for some time now. The benefits of combining card applications, customer care, delivery and multi-channel commerce into one location, were immediately apparent," added Assabi.

"In addition to the 5 000 products on offer, we run promotions all the time that include our great killer deals and all of these in general merchandise and liquor are available through this channel.
