Mambo awarded best OSS CMS
A panel of industry professionals at the LinuxWorld Australia conference in Sydney named the Mambo content management system (CMS) the best open source software (OSS) solution.
This is according to the Mambo Web site, which adds "the award marks the third time the Mambo software has won the coveted award".
Secure CMS to become integrated
Vendors of secure CMS solutions will move from point products offering single types of protection to broader-based, integrated security solutions, according to a study by International Data Corporation (IDC).
"This will happen at least in part because of the growing complexity that organisations are finding in security management," writes eChannelLine, in reference to the IDC report.
At the messaging layer, companies are looking for single solutions that handle a number of features, including anti-virus, anti-spam and content filtering. At the gateway, more and more unified threat management appliances are including secure CMS features, such as network firewalls, anti-virus and intrusion prevention and detecting, adds the article.
