Software development company, DVT has appointed Mario Matthee as national head of quality assurance.
Matthee was previously head of The Talent Exchange, DVT's recruitment company. He joined DVT in 2008 as a software quality assurance consultant, prior to which he was an automation specialist at Altech ISIS.
DVT has experienced exceptional growth in the last three years and, as head of the SQA (software quality assurance) business unit, Matthee will be aligning all regions with the company's national quality assurance strategy, reducing software testing costs for the company and its customers, and preventing duplication.
Matthee's main role will be to build DVT into one of the major software testing service providers in South Africa, leveraging the contributions made by regional business unit managers. DVT's presence is currently strongest in Cape Town, and his focus will be to increase the company's Gauteng market share substantially.
A founding member of the Cape Town Test Automation User Group, Matthee has a B Tech in IT management, a diploma in IT and a certificate in project management. He is a certified Scrum Master and has ISEB certification from the British Computer Society.
