The Maslow Hotel has released its own app as a companion tool for business and leisure travellers.
The app provides information about the hotel, its restaurants and the surrounding area, in addition to concierge services and an online booking engine.
According to Johan Scheepers, GM at the Maslow Hotel, the app was developed because more and more travellers are browsing for the best rates, checking room availability and booking their stays directly from their mobile devices.
"Guests do not always want to call the hotel to find out about rates or speak to the concierge to find out what activities are recommended in the area. This app allows them to access this information wherever they are and whenever it is convenient for them," he says. "It is also particularly useful for guests who want to book at relatively short notice, as the online booking engine requires fewer steps when formalising a booking."
The app can be used to review the latest room rates at the hotel and allows guests to access necessary contact details for the hotel, while also featuring a custom GPS map so they can find their way to and from the hotel with ease.
While staying at the Maslow, visitors can browse the restaurant or room service menus via the app, with a list of local attractions, shopping, activities and golf courses in the area, along with directions and contact details.
And after their visit, guests can use the app to review the hotel and its concierge services.
The Maslow app is available for free download from the iOS and Android app stores.
"We are very excited about this new app. The technology is impressive and we are confident that it will add an additional layer of excellence to our guests' experience at our hotel," says Scheepers.
