Master Currency banks on Integr8 IT for IT services

Johannesburg, 08 Feb 2007

National network integrator and infrastructure management specialist, Integr8 IT, has been selected as the outsourced-services partner to Master Currency, a southern African leader within the field of foreign exchange.

According to the services agreement in place, Integr8 IT is providing proactive and reactive national support for all Master Currency branches throughout SA. This includes services at desktop level.

To date, Integr8 IT has integrated its G8Keeper solution within the Master Currency network and this product will provide the required functionality and monitoring reports.

It has also implemented MailG8, an e-mail security and anti-spam solution. Integr8 IT, together with IBM, has also assisted the client with consultation and services around its disaster recovery methodology.

Master Currency is a renowned provider of financial services to travellers and has an extensive network of branches that cover key regions in South Africa, including the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng provinces.

The company's foremost direct service to customers is through its line of bureau de change branches that are strategically located in areas that are accessible and extensively used by the public, from the country's premier retail malls through to its international airports, including OR Tambo international airport and the Cape Town international airport.

Inter-branch connectivity and reliable ICT infrastructure is imperative to the daily operations of the company. Management at Master Currency required a partner with the proven capability, expertise and experience related to infrastructure management and reliable service.

A candidate partner was required to provide the most up-to-date and relevant advice pertaining to the ICT market. Integr8 IT was selected as the partner of choice based on these criteria.

"Our client's IT infrastructure is monitored via remote tools and the results are communicated directly to the company in order to provide constant and reliable insight," explains Robert Sussman, joint-MD, Integr8 IT.

"The objective has been to extend Integr8 IT's service offering so that it remains responsive, but also overlaid with the business requirements of Master Currency. This results in total solutions-support."

Integr8 IT technicians have identified a number of opportunities across Master Currency's platform that will be scoped, presented and implemented in the future, an example of this being MOM (Microsoft Operations Manager) and SMS (Systems Management Server) to replace its current remote desktop management software.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide Master Currency with proactive service and support. This will, without a doubt, help the company to continue to provide the outstanding customer service levels the company is well known for," adds Sussman.
