Maximise your design assets - economically

Johannesburg, 05 Jul 2007

Oc'e has introduced a new range of economic colour devices that bring all kinds of wide format plans and technical information to life with outstanding sharpness and clarity.

These systems are ideal for engineering designs and drawings, architectural plans and GIS plots. The range includes the Oc'e CS2124.

These new Oc'e wide format devices are optimised for CAD and GIS plots to ensure fast printing of sharp, clear line work in both colour and monochrome. Thanks to their 5-ink technology, three colours plus two black - with 2 560 printing nozzles per colour, they provide high-density black lines and text on plain paper, as well as high-contrast output even on colour backgrounds.

The use of marker-resistant dye ink is ideal for printing presentations and other media on which later corrections may be required. The Oc'e CS 2124 has a printing speed of 0.6 minutes per A1. System status while printing is always instantly visible from the user's desktop, thanks to the integrated back channel communication.

Versatile media handling is another plus-point of these new wide format devices. The Oc'e CS2124 can use both roll-fed and cut sheet paper, with a sheet cassette for fast multiple sheet loading.

Optional RIPs for direct 'drag & drop' printing

Easy operation from most applications is ensured with the standard Windows driver.

Or, to meet future needs or to allow direct 'drag & drop' printing of specific file formats such as HPGL or PDF without the need to open the originating application, users can add one of two optional RIPs.

The GraphicsPro RIP offers postscript support with a full Pantone colour library for accurate colour matching, while the CADPro RIP offers HPGL support for direct printing of vector files. As well as adding one of these RIP packages, the Oc'e CS2124 can be upgraded by adding a colour scanner if the need to do so arises.

With their combination of outstanding print, copy and scan quality, easy operation and versatile media handling, these wide format printers and multifunctional devices offer ideal solutions for users, such as CAD designers, engineers, landscape architects, urban planners and many others who want clear communication and maximum creative expression without complexity.
