Cape Town-based software development company Maxxor released its flagship B2B mobile sales product, Onsight, at the beginning of 2013. This mobile sales app was specifically created for use by B2B sales professionals who need a mobile solution through which they can sell products, track orders and close deals. Now Maxxor has added new features to Onsight, including a Bulk Product Uploader and a PDF catalogue creator.
Since release of the Onsight mobile sales app, it has been grabbing attention in various industries. User acquisition has increased steadily and users from all over the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia and Canada, are using the app in their sales processes.
Says Adrian Frielinghaus, Maxxor's Director of Product Development: "Maxxor plans to see more steady growth in the uptake of Onsight in the future, especially with the addition of the new features. Our team has been gathering lots of feedback from both new and existing clients through their everyday usage of the app. This allowed us to get a feeling for what people preferred, as well as which features we could add to create an even better sales experience.
"For example, feedback from Escape to Paradise, an Australian distributor of home accessories and an Onsight client, led us to add a new feature that allows clients to download and regularly distribute a PDF catalogue of their products to clients and agents, no matter how many times their product line changes."
The Onsight sales app originally had the ability to create a mobile product catalogue, send PDF orders to the office while meeting clients, track electronic orders that have been placed, and upload complete catalogues to show clients on site. Now clients have the additional option of creating a PDF product catalogue of the products they have uploaded and then send this document to clients and agents to keep them updated on new products.
Founder and owner of Escape to Paradise, Sacha Alagich, says of the new feature: "My product line is constantly growing and evolving. The Onsight system allows me to update my product line at any time without the worry of having to spend money on expensive and easily outdated paper catalogues. It is definitely benefiting my brand and makes communicating with my agents and distributors much easier."
Another new feature on the Onsight mobile sales app, the Bulk Product Uploader, is specifically geared to users of the app that have many products in their product line. Frielinghaus explains how this feature works: "The Onsight app uses a straightforward Excel spreadsheet to allow the user to import thousands of products once-off into the app. Users simply download the spreadsheet from the app with the required product fields already inserted, and enter all of their product details. Within minutes of importing the complete spreadsheet, all products are displayed and are ready to be ordered. With this feature, we want to simplify and speed up the act of uploading multiple products, thus saving lots of time for salespeople."
The Onsight mobile sales app already works on the big operating systems, namely Android, iPad and Windows. With the latest update, the app has now also been made available to those with iPad Minis, Android smartphones, 7-inch and 10-inch Android tablets as well as the latest Windows 8 tablets.
Frielinghaus believes the new features will accelerate the Onsight mobile sales app's growth, and promises that more features will soon make their appearance. "Maxxor believes that the more users get to know and use the Onsight sales app, the more great features we will be able to add. Constant feedback from our users and acting on these is the key to Onsight's future success. Onsight's constant updates are aimed at improving the B2B selling experience."
