MBW Networking launches e-nd2end

Johannesburg, 03 Nov 2000

MB Worksoft has launched e-nd2end, a product that offers a range of services including specialised design, supply, implementation and support. e-nd2end provides qualified consultants to assess a company`s business requirements and provide the appropriate networking solutions. These consultants the entire project, from design to installation, configuration and maintenance.

According to MBW Networking technical director Francois Vetter, MB Worksoft Networking`s skills encompass all aspects of networking associated products and project management. "We perform site audits and assessments and also provide on-site and remote support. We also offer a number of maintenance options and service delivery is accomplished either on an ad hoc or contractual basis by entering into Service Level Agreements with our customers."

e-nd2end`s network solutions are based on best-of-breed hardware from various vendors, all major network operating systems including NetWare, Microsoft, Unix and legacy systems integration. Vetter says site assessments can provide customers with feedback in report form, assessing the adequacy of hardware, software and licences, site installation and network design, and whether the current network meets the customer`s needs.

"Site audits are more comprehensive than site assessments, and cover software licensing issues, security and network design," adds Vetter. "The deliverables of a site audit are a full set of documents detailing the existing installation, its shortcomings and proposed changes. The tools used to compile the documentation set remain on-site for ongoing maintenance and changes to the network."

The MB Worksoft Networking design service gives customers the assurance that the networking solution will fulfil the business needs of the organisation as defined by the customer. It provides a comprehensive design as well as recommendations - scalable for future expansion.

e-nd2end provides a full installation configuration service of network-related products, including infrastructure hardware, network operating systems, and messaging and back-office applications.

Vetter says on-site support can be provided either contractually (SLA) or on an ad hoc or hourly basis. "Our technical staff are skilled to diagnose and correct virtually any network-related problem."

MB Worksoft Networking also provides remote support to customers, monitoring their network and enabling the company to provide proactive support to customers. Remote support can also be provided via dial-in or on-line services for remote configuration, administration and fault diagnosis.
