Mecer, SA`s top selling PC brand for the last 13 years, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Mecer Ducati National Superbike team for 2004.
The Mecer Ducati Team is made up of Lance Isaacs and Robert Portman. The two riders will compete in the LeopardRock.com Superbike Championships, which totals 10 race meetings at various South African venues.
The team competes on the legendary Ducati 999S Superbike. Built around the Testasretta engine, the 999S is today`s most advanced twin-cylinder. This Italian Superstock champion is the form of a pure sports bike. Isaacs was the first rider of colour to compete in the World Superbike Championships in 2002, and is one of SA`s most experienced and talented riders.
According to Dean Barkhuizen, MD of Mecer: "The Superbike Championships in SA are an often overlooked sport. The riders and crew making up the South African Ducati Team are extremely talented. Mecer is a Proudly South African company and proud to support South African talent."
