Mediasurface looks for partners

Content management vendor Mediasurface has launched the Morello Alliance Programme and is searching for new resellers to join as accredited, strategic or global partners, says VNUNet.

After seeing success in Europe with its 50% channel model in the Baltic region, MediaSurface is now applying its focus to the UK channel with its Morello solution.

Morello is an enterprise solution used to power intranets, extranets, Web sites and other channels for global 1 000 companies.

Atex to support ACAP

Atex, a supplier of solutions and services for advertising, content management, circulation and online applications, will support the Automated Content Access Protocol (ACAP) on its content management systems to encourage industry-wide adoption of the new standard, reports WAN.

"Focusing on digital content production and delivery is a key strength for publishers wishing to succeed with digital platforms, and proper content copyright management is an essential component of the most successful business models," said Roberto Antoniotti, chief executive of the Atex content management division.

ACAP is a new publishing standard that allows Web site terms and conditions to be expressed in a standard machine-readable format so that publishers can have a say in how news aggregators and search engine companies use their content.

Companies for open source

Ingres, a provider of open source database management software, says its products have been certified by Alfresco, the open source alternative for enterprise content management, according to BusinessWire.

As part of its agreement, Ingres will leverage the Alfresco product line to deliver complete content management solutions to enterprise customers with the cost and flexibility benefits that an open source solution provides.

In addition to the certification and reseller agreement, an integrated community bundle from Ingres and Alfresco will enable community developers to leverage an enterprise open source content management solution that is reliable, robust, secure, and can scale from the developer's desktop to the enterprise data centre.
