Medisoft unveils new software

Medicalbillingsoftware.com has released Medisoft Billing Software Version 14, says TMCnet.

This latest version includes a dashboard feature that allows users to measure productivity and profitability through key performance indicators.

The dashboard also includes trending graphs, financial warnings, accounts receivables totals, payment totals and cancelled appointments.

eBillingHub with DataCert

The eBillingHub has teamed with DataCert to enhance the connectivity between their respective electronic billing products, says Business Wire.

The eBillingHub is available for customers of Thomson Elite and ProLaw as Elite eBillingHub directly from Thomson Elite, a result of a agreement between the organisations.

Similarly, the service is exclusively available to customers of RainMaker Platinum and Visual Pyramid directly from RainMaker Legal.

Galesburg suffers glitches

The city of Galesburg recently upgraded its financial software to give customers the ability to view accounts and pay bills online, possibly sometime in 2009. The new software also cuts down on the annual maintenance fees the city pays, says Galesburg.com.

The change did create several problems for city water and refuse bills. The bills were sent out last week and are due 20 March. The first glitch caused the previous balance amount listed for water accounts to be incorrect. However, the balance due information is accurate.

The second glitch affected about 130 bills with multiple refuse accounts, primarily apartment complexes. The new software "applied an incorrect conversion that resulted in over-billing those accounts". The finance department is planning to contact those affected by the error.
