The VarioPrint 3090 can handle stringent printing requirements in central or decentral production environments with up to 750 000 images per month. It is designed with the flexibility to easily handle long print runs, multiple smaller jobs or proofs and variations in media types. The system prints both simplex and duplex, and facilitates long unattended document runs with such features as:
a. Front-loading and load-while-run paper trays
b. Independent linkage of input trays
c. Air-separated paper feed
d. Optional online finishing
The VP 3090 also has the capability to manage mixed datastreams in transaction environments. "Our customers often produce documents from a number of different sources", says La Grange, "Such mixed datastreams are very common when companies generate bills, statements, policies, personalised one-to-one documents and the like. When combined with PRISMA software, the Oc'e VarioPrint 3090 prints well from all these sources. The smart front servers efficiently accept and process datastreams from a company`s host systems and/or network, while the powerful controller ensures high performance and productive printing".
The Oc'e VarioPrint 3090 can form the basis for a more extended print solution. The system is designed to work with Oc'e PRISMA software modules. These give companies a single point of production control and can be used to manage multiple Oc'e and non-Oc'e systems, for example by providing load balancing, oversight of all print activities and resource management. Companies can also add online or offline finishing units.
