MegaWeb Internet Access yesterday officially launched version one of its Executive Web Solution, a Web site management system that allows clients to create and maintain their own Web sites, without the need for any Web design skills.
"Some existing clients expressed the need for a cost-effective and user-friendly way of creating and maintaining their own Web site, that will not require Web development skills or a permanent Webmaster. When more requests of a similar nature started coming to us on a regular basis, we decided to develop a complete solution, based on components that have formed part of WebFX`s script solutions for the past few years," says Nicholas Cook, manager of WebFX, MegaWeb`s Web development division.
The Executive Web Solution includes ready-to-use Web page layouts and navigational structures, as well as Web page enhancers, like a calendar, opinion polls and announcements.
Additional plug-ins include news feeds, banner administration, a mailing list management system and shopping cart solutions. Templates for generic pages, like Yahoo-style Web Links and FAQs can complement pages designed via a back-end admin interface in text or HTML. An easy-to-use HTML editor and an image uploader are also included, while Web site hosting and e-mail features provide a complete solution for most Web presence requirements.
