Mellanox begins shipping Spectrum, industry's first open Ethernet 25/50/100 Gigabit switch, to cloud, Web 2.0 and enterprise data centre customers

Mellanox Technologies (NASDAQ:MLNX), a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end interconnect solutions for data centre servers and storage systems, today announced it is now shipping Spectrum, the industry's first 10, 25, 40, 50 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet, Open Ethernet-based switch, to multiple cloud, Web 2.0 and enterprise data centre customers worldwide. The shipment of Spectrum, combined with Mellanox's ConnectX-4 NICs, and LinkX fibre and copper cables, makes Mellanox the first to deliver comprehensive end-to-end 10, 25, 40, 50 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet data centre connectivity solutions.
