Oracle customers can verify functionality, predict system performance, and test scalability of E-Business Suite with Mercury Interactive`s Web performance management solutions
Mercury Interactive Corporation, the global leading provider of Web performance management solutions, has announced that it is an Oracle Certified Solution Partner within the Oracle Partner Program (OPP). Mercury Interactive will be working with the Oracle E-Business Suite to develop tightly integrated testing solutions for Oracle customers.
Through the Oracle Partner Program, Oracle evidently provides Mercury Interactive with technical support, as well as advanced access to powerful software, and OPP enables joint customer satisfaction.
This is according to Graeme Allcock, sales director of Mercury Interactive South Africa.
"Mercury Interactive`s testing solutions allow the companies` joint customers to verify the performance and reliability of the Oracle E-Business Suite of applications," Allcock continues.
In addition, he points out, Oracle performs its internal testing and benchmarking for the Oracle E-Business Suite using Mercury Interactive`s LoadRunner, the industry standard load testing solution, WinRunner, the award winning functional and regression testing solution and TestDirector, the industry`s most comprehensive solution for Web-based test management.
"As an Oracle Certified Solution Partner, Mercury Interactive has demonstrated a commitment to delivering innovative Oracle-based solutions and services to our joint customers," comments Allcock.
"Testing internally with Mercury Interactive`s tools allows us to deliver a superior product, and clearly demonstrates to customers that we`re fully committed to helping them gain strength in a highly competitive market," adds Renee Knee, senior vice president Oracle Global Alliances.
As a Certified Solution Partner, Mercury Interactive provides Oracle customers with an end-to-end testing solution that is tightly integrated with the Oracle E-Business Suite.
"Oracle customers can use Mercury Interactive solutions to test the functionality and scalability of their e-business applications within the context of their in-house infrastructure. This type of testing will help Oracle customers ensure that their business-critical e-business systems continue to perform as expected as they implement the Oracle E-Business Suite," Knee enthuses.
The Oracle E-Business Suite apparently provides out-of-the-box integration of e-business applications throughout the extended enterprise from customers and partners to suppliers. This integration allows companies to completely automate their e-businesses from Web selling and marketing, all the way through to Internet supply chain and procurement.
"Making changes to any system requires testing to ensure that each customer` s unique system configuration will yield the desired performance and functionality," adds Allcock.
"Mercury Interactive`s solutions for testing Oracle E-business Suite allows Oracle customers to quickly identify and correct any changes that could affect the integrity of their business*before they deploy an application to end-users."

Mercury Interactive`s LoadRunner, Winrunner, and Testdirector Tools
Mercury Interactive`s LoadRunner is a load testing tool that predicts system behaviour and performance. It exercises an entire Web infrastructure by emulating the traffic of millions of real users. Each of these users drives the application with real transactions while LoadRunner measures response times, network delays and both server and application performance. Its integrated real-time monitors enable organizations to minimize test cycles, optimise performance and accelerate deployment.
WinRunner, an integrated, functional testing tool, captures, verifies and replays user interactions automatically to identify defects and ensure that business processes, which span across multiple applications and databases, work flawlessly and remain reliable.
Mercury Interactive`s Web-based test management solution, TestDirector, globally coordinates the testing process across an organization. By providing and integrating requirements management with test planning, test scheduling, test execution and defect tracking in a single application, TestDirector accelerates the testing process and reduces time to market.
