Mercury Interactive announced that it has extended its agreement with IBM to offer Web performance testing tools for IBM`s Solution Partnership Centres (SPCs).
IBM SPCs are designed to help members of PartnerWorld for Developers test and enable their applications on IBM platforms in a reliable testing environment, utilising Mercury Interactive solutions.
"More than one hundred tests for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) have been completed within the last three years. This agreement now extends to Applications Solution Providers (ASPs) that are developing on the IBM platform, providing them with a reliable, cost-effective environment to validate hardware sizing and identify performance issues across a range of system architectures."
This is according to Graeme Allcock, sales director for Mercury Interactive in South Africa.
"Mercury Interactive will work closely with IBM`s SPCs to ensure that Web performance management solutions are optimised on the IBM-based systems for e-business customers," points out Allcock.
IBM SPCs play a key role in our global business and therefore require the best technology available, according to Todd Chase, worldwide manager of IBM`s Solution Partnership Centres.
"Mercury Interactive provides the Web performance tools, allowing both developers and ASPs to perform high volume tests that accurately emulate real-life operations-at a critical stage in the development lifecycle."
"We understand the value of having comprehensive testing tools that work well, offer outstanding support and that can bring efficiencies to our business. Mercury Interactive provides all that in addition to flexible tools that support the operating systems used by Prophet 21, " comments Joe Buffington, chief technology officer at Prophet 21, a leading developer of distribution software in the US.
"We are equally impressed with how well Mercury Interactive facilitates testing agreements such as their relationship with IBM. Working with Mercury Interactive, the IBM Solutions Partnership Centres provide excellent engineering support, lower capital costs through equipment used for testing, and reduces costs of our enterprise solutions for our customers. Plus, IBM SPC`s certification of our hardware sizing makes it easier for our customers to choose the right equipment."
"Mercury Interactive provides solution developers with versatile, high quality Web performance management products that accelerate time to market by detecting problems prior to deployment," comments Allcock.
"For large-scale applications such as those being tested at IBM`s SPCs, Mercury Interactive ensures that applications meet their business expectations," he concludes.
