The MESA SA Executive Committee has announced that the 2012 MESA Conference is scheduled for 13 and 14 November 2012, at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways. The theme of the conference is “Adapt or Die”.
The format of the conference has changed considerably as a result of user requests. MESA SA will run the first South Africa Executive session designed by MESA Global Education Program (GEP) members. This session is a half-day event specifically aimed at the busy executive who cannot afford a full day out of the office. The session will provide an overview of MES/MOM, how it fits into the organisation, the difference between MES/MOM and ERP systems, where and how to deploy MES/MOM, as well as the benefits and pitfalls of MES/MOM deployments.
After lunch on the first day, the conference proceedings will begin with an international speaker followed by user case studies. The session will conclude with a networking session for the delegates.
Compared to previous years, an even larger exhibition is planned, giving both exhibitors and users alike more opportunities to interact with one another.
The second day of the conference will be opened by a motivational speaker, after which more user case studies will be presented. The conference will conclude at afternoon tea.
In addition to the conference, MESA SA will be holding a post-conference training programme on 15 and 16 November to present the Certificate of Awareness GEP training. This training is aimed at operational and project managers as well as dealer sales and marketing executives responsible for MES/MOM systems with the organisation. Last year, 32 MES/MOM professionals in South Africa attended the same training for which positive reviews were received. Registration for the training can be made directly on the MESA International Web site (www.mesa.org).
Please keep this date open and watch the press and social media for further details.
