Metastorm posts record results

Metastorm, a provider of business process management (BPM), business process analysis and enterprise architecture software for aligning strategy with execution, released financial results for its third-quarter ending 30 September 2008, reports DMN News Wire.

The privately-held company posted record revenue, record profitability and reported a continued increase in enterprise-wide deployments of its software.

Metastorm experienced 22% growth in total revenue year-over-year based on future expectations, and recognised a 50% increase in software licence revenue from the same quarter last year.

Companies apply BPM

Organisations are showing a growing interest in BPM, according to a study, but some are challenged by the lack of standards between process modelling and execution amid other issues, reports ITWorld Canada.

According to research by industry association AIIM of 354 end-users, 56% of respondents indicated they have implemented departmental, cross-departmental and enterprise-wide BPM projects.

The remaining 44% said they hadn't implemented a BPM project, but plan to begin in the coming year.

Aexis implements Sequence

Aexis, a Belgian company, has implemented PNMsoft's Sequence BPM and workflow platform in Belgium's province of Antwerp, says PNM Soft.

The BPM solution aims at facilitating the government's internal processes as required by new Belgian .

Paul Sheridan, VP of sales and marketing for PNMsoft, said: “Sequence has provided an easy to use Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint interface, making it possible for the management of the administration to be automated in the background, capturing all manner of the detail automatically and presented in dashboard form to senior management.”
