Metastorm, the business process management (BPM) company that provides modelling, automation and process control software, has boosted total revenue for the first quarter of 2005 by 20% over the same period last year, and licence revenue by 30%.
Growth was driven by sales to both new and existing customers. 32 new customers were added this quarter, adding to the existing 750 global client base.
New customers include Bentley Motors in the UK, The Hartford in the US, Hipoteku Banka in Latvia, Lionbridge Technologies in the US and Patni in India. In addition, existing customers substantially expanding their Metastorm BPM implementations this quarter include Channel 4 in the UK, Deutsche Post in Germany, Great Clips in the US, Lech Brewery in Poland and the City of Norfolk, Virginia in the US.
This success has been echoed in SA with Multotec and Kalahari.net joining over 20 local companies using MetaStorm.
"This early success in the year is indicative of the growing interest in BPM software by top management, and Metastorm`s market leadership ideally positions it to take advantage of this," says Derek Hughes, MD of DVT Gauteng, the local Metastorm Alliance Partner (MAP).
Additional Metastorm achievements in Q1 included the release of its Universal Process Orchestrator - a packaged solution that enables organisations to transform any combination of new or existing .NET, Java and Web services components into meaningful, automated business processes that are fully managed and controlled by Metastorm`s BPM software, and being named a top solution for business execution in CMP`s Intelligent Enterprise Awards.
