As part of Eaton's global strategy to reposition itself, Eaton Electrical Group has deployed a brand strategy for its Power Quality solutions throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Legacy brands, like the South African MGE Office Protection Systems, are currently being transitioned into a series of products under the single Eaton brand.
Eaton has renamed the MGE Office Protection Systems products as the Pulsar range. These products provide best-in-class UPS solutions for SoHo, enterprise and process control applications, with a wide portfolio of surge protection, power protection, power distribution and power management software.
Gary Jameson, the newly appointed country manager for Eaton Power Quality in South Africa, will be instrumental in amalgamating the company's UPS brands under the Eaton banner. He says Eaton Corporation launched a global effort to reposition the company in September last year. This initiative features a new corporate brand signature that expresses the company's impact in the marketplace and defines Eaton's strength as a power management company and global technology leader: Eaton - powering business worldwide.
“Eaton is supporting this initiative with marketing efforts to promote the company's full capabilities in power quality to the IT, electrical channel and end-user communities. Marketing will include advertising, increased sales and support programmes, and an improved online presence to provide partners and end-users with the tools and expertise to substantially address their power protection challenges and requirements,” Jameson says.
