Managed Health Care Business (MHCB) has chosen to sign up with the InterSystems Application Partner Programme.
MHCB was established in 2002 with a team of people averaging 15 years` experience each in the healthcare market. The company focuses on developing systems for healthcare, including hospital information systems (HIS) and is planning two initial product releases based on InterSystems` CACH'E post-relational database.
"We investigated hospital information systems around the globe and discovered an existing solution that we could migrate onto CACH'E immediately," says Gerhard Smit, CEO of MHCB.
MHCB is currently sourcing niche focus applications for re-development using the CACH'E database engine. Smit believes the healthcare market is in a state of constant flux, which means suppliers and solution providers need to remain in tune and able to shape themselves in a focused manner on strategic customer issues to offer them better returns.
"What attracted us to InterSystems is that the company is in touch with the shifting market and offers a comprehensive partner programme. With changing customer demands we need to be able to communicate clearly and openly with our partner to meet the business and technology needs of our market, which we can," says Smit.
InterSystems offers a unique partnership model, providing application partners with software, training and support at no charge to facilitate development of applications on CACH'E.
MHCB is not restricting itself to the local market. The company has already established bases internationally with plans for further expansion. Its products and solutions are already being offered in Africa, the Middle East, South America and the US, with one more European office scheduled for later in the year.
