JSE-listed financial solutions provider Micromega last night launched new subsidiary Stable-Net.
The company, which was formed in November last year, has already secured relationships with Cisco and NetQoS.
Stable-Net director Graham Allcock says the company was established to service Cisco requirements.
"Cisco needed a company which would help it prove the benefits of their products to the market. The NetQoS solutions are well placed to do exactly that, so we secured sole rights to NetQoS in Africa and Middle East," he explains.
The company will work closely with Cisco on its "engagements", says Allcock. It will also offer managed network services and sell the NetQoS product.
Rapid expansion
Stable-Net also intends to rollout operations in Germany, the UK, Australia and Mexico within the next year.
"We probably would have preferred to expand somewhat slower, but we have received requests from these regions for a presence. Of course, if we delayed the move by a year we would probably have lost out on many opportunities too," says Allcock.
Once these regions have been set up, the company will then consider opportunities in Latin America.
