Microsoft announces Mac OS X drivers available for hardware products

Microsoft has announced that in response to growing customer demand, Macintosh OS X drivers are available for the popular Microsoft line of USB keyboards, optical mouse products and trackballs.

This news extends compatibility of these Microsoft hardware products to the latest Macintosh operating system.

Now Mac customers can experience the entire line of Microsoft`s comfortable, stylish and high-performance USB keyboards and optical mouse products, including Office Keyboard, Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer, Natural Keyboard Pro, Internet Keyboard Pro and IntelliMouse Optical.

"Mac users have continuously told us they wanted complete functionality with our hardware when the new Mac operating system entered the market," said Gayle Duffy, hardware product manager at Microsoft South Africa. "We`re proud to deliver our sophisticated and innovative line of hardware products to Mac users, who demand the epitome of stylish hardware."

Starting today, users can download Mac drivers from http://www.microsoft.com/keyboard/, http://www.microsoft.com/mouse/ or http://www.mactopia.com/. The new keyboard driver will work with all Macintosh operating systems up to OS 10.1.2 except for OS 10.0. Drivers are already available for Macintosh OS 8.6 and 9.x.
