Microsoft gets marketing

Johannesburg, 28 Mar 2006

Microsoft South Africa has announced an initiative to build a marketing community within its partner base. It`s intended that such a community will be able to share marketing and advertising trends and tap into Microsoft`s partner marketing model.

The initiative will be launched by way of a series of "Market day" - workshop sessions. These are aimed at marketing directors, marketing managers and business decision-makers who would like to get a look at how the company intends taking its new products to market. The sessions will also provide tools and resources available to Microsoft certified partners in their marketing efforts.

"Microsoft`s value proposition is built on the foundation of partners taking our products and solutions to market," says Bradley Hopkinson, small and medium solutions and partner group director. "Enabling our partners to drive demand for sales while aligning to Microsoft`s marketing efforts is not only key to our success, it`s imperative to helping end-users and businesses get the best solution for their needs and gain the best benefit from technology."

The workshop sessions will additionally provide insight into Microsoft`s marketing strategies as well as new and fresh ways for marketers to market and sell from partners and industry experts.
