Microsoft introduces new Premier Support offering

Johannesburg, 08 Jun 2001

Microsoft South Africa has announced the introduction of the Microsoft Authorised Premier Support (MAPS) programme, a new partner-driven initiative that will offer proactive support services to small and medium businesses.

The MAPS programme will be managed through Microsoft`s Gold Certified Partners for Support Services and include proactive planning and consulting services, problem resolution support, the latest preventative technical information and account management services based on the individual IT implementation and technical needs of businesses.

Designed to meet the support requirements of businesses of varying sizes, the programme will offer a range of scalable proactive support solutions delivered jointly by Microsoft and specific partners. These solutions will aim to provide high systems availability, reduce implementation time, lower costs and manage the risk associated with an IT implementation.

"The MAPS programme gives Microsoft the flexibility to provide customers with scalable support services that meets their business` needs," says Wayne Pienaar, technical account manager at Microsoft South Africa. "By working with partners, we will provide our customers with support solutions that meet their specific requirements and ensure the availability, reliability and performance of their IT implementation."
