Microsoft South Africa left the annual Channelwise awards ceremony with two awards, recognising it for stellar performance in the supply of productivity solutions.
Recognition in this space did not come easy, says Kathy Gibson, managing editor of Futurewave, publishers of Channelwise magazine, who adds that each and every award was determined solely by the resellers who were invited to vote for the favourite vendors in eight categories through an online poll.
“It was no surprise to see Microsoft dominate the Software category, garnering a top three finalist spot in the Productivity Software; ERP Software; and Virtualisation and Security Software categories, and beat out stiff competition like Adobe, IBM, Softline and Syspro to take the Productivity and ERP Software top spots.”
Gibson says a total of 5 500 votes were cast by resellers this year, and as this is a completely channel-centric initiative, Microsoft should be proud of this acknowledgement.
Microsoft SA's head of Small & Midmarket Solutions and Partner business, Mark Reynolds, says the company is very pleased to receive recognition from this respected publication, its readers and the reseller channel
“Our Dynamics team has worked very hard to listen to its customers and continually improve its products,” he says. “The resellers are a tough nut to crack for any size vendor, but these awards prove that Microsoft has cemented a winning strategy that results in high reseller satisfaction levels.
“We look forward to participating in next year's awards, where we will work hard to ensure that we dominate in more categories.”
