Talent management services provider Bytes People Solutions has won the Microsoft Learning Partner of the Year award for 2013. The award recognises Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year.

"Bytes People Solutions consistently drives adoption and deployment of Microsoft technologies through its training interventions, giving the company a competitive advantage in the market," says Sharon Oosterberg, partner business development manager, Microsoft Learning Experiences. "The company leads the market with its real-time training innovation, and its growth is testament to the success of this model. Bytes People Solutions is a professional partner on whom we can always depend to support and deliver Microsoft solutions. This is a well-deserved win."

Recognised as a leader in skills development and a trusted advisor to a large number of organisations in South Africa as well as Africa, Bytes People Solutions has been a Microsoft partner for more than 15 years.

"Microsoft has played a hugely important role in the success of our business over the years and we are honoured to win this award," says Dr Madelise Grobler, MD of Bytes People Solutions. "We have succeeded in building a mutually-beneficial collaboration thanks to the consistent, quality support that we receive from Microsoft."

Grobler says the relationship has enabled Bytes People Solutions to engage with new customers through the development of custom-built solutions, and has helped the company to grow its revenue significantly through the roll-out of new Microsoft technologies.

The previous financial year proved to be an exceptional one for Bytes People Solutions in terms of revenue growth and profit. The company has increased its total number of clients by 16%. In addition, it has grown its Microsoft technical systems training programmes by 27% and its desktop training offering by 9%.

"The ability to deliver training on the broader spectrum of Microsoft courses both in Gauteng and via our real-time class has played an important role in this growth, as has our ongoing investment in top facilities and trainers," says Pieter Nel, Business Unit Executive, ICT Academy at Bytes People Solutions. "Our classroom-in-a-box offering has also given us the ability to deliver training at any customer site in South Africa and throughout Africa."

The flexibility of Bytes People Solutions' offering and the company's focus on quality solutions have also added to the number of customers. "One example of this is the focus on skills development as a joint effort between the ICT Academy and the Career Campus business units at Bytes People Solutions. These delegates achieve both Microsoft and NQF qualifications. In partnership with Microsoft, we are developing much-needed ICT skills by implementing training programmes that are innovative and effective," Madelise concluded.
