MS, Nokia unveil UC software
Microsoft has released the Microsoft Communicator Mobile for Nokia, writes PC World.
The solution forms a unified communications (UC) client for Nokia's e-series smartphones. The client connects with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.
The solution allows users to see colleagues' availability, communicate with them using instant messaging, e-mail, SMS or a call from the phone's address book.
AT&T intros Bluetooth-enabled landline phones
AT&T has revealed the DECT 6.0 handsets which can be paired to a mobile phone via Bluetooth, says The Gadgeteer.
Once paired, users can answer both landline and cell calls with one handset. AT&T says the phone works well in the home and small office or home office environment.
“We designed the new AT&T cordless phones to address the challenges with cellular phone use in the home - without sacrificing the usability, range and loaded features consumers depend on in landline products,” says Matt Ramage, senior vice-president of product management at AT&T.
HP brings mobile printing to BlackBerry
HP has introduced the ePrint Enterprise mobile printing solution, states Mobile Enterprise.
The device was developed in collaboration with Research in Motion, allowing users to print directly from BlackBerry smartphones to printers on their network.
The solution also allows printing on HP ePrint supported locations, including over 1800 FedEx Office locations as well as more than 1 300 Hilton hotels.
