
The international ICT world was dominated last week by the release of many of the latest quarterly financial results, which included a drop in revenue by Microsoft. At home, the official 'go live' launch of the Seacom cable stole much of the local ICT media space.

* SAP acquired SAF Simulation, Analysis and Forecasting AG, a global forecasting and replenishment software company for the retail and wholesale industries.

* Good quarterly numbers from Apple, Bharti Airtel, LG Electronics and Mobily (Etihad Etisalat Saudi Arabia).
